God's Simple Plan for Eternal Life

There are many uncertainties in our world, but one thing that never changes is God’s promise to men and women.  It’s simple; many attempt to cloak this message in rituals and services, but the bottom line is that this is simple and to the point.

1. We Are All Sinners “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” – Romans 3:10

2. Sin Separates Us from God “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” – Isaiah 59:2

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

3. God Loves Us and Sent His Son “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

4. Jesus Christ Died for Our Sins “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” – 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

5. We Must Believe and Receive Christ “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” – Romans 10:9

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” – John 1:12

6. Salvation is a Free Gift “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9

“And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” – Revelation 22:17

7. We Can Know We Have Eternal Life “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” – 1 John 5:13

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” – John 3:36

A Simple Prayer of Faith – These are not “magic words”, but a reflection of your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I ask you to come into my heart and save me. I trust you as my Savior. Thank you for eternal life. Amen.”

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Romans 10:13
